In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model that featured a slim case, narrow indexes and a steel bracelet. Its wide, horizontal lugs, typical of the time, were perfectly integrated into the flat, tonneau-shaped case.

A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust". The "X" stands for the Roman numeral ten and for the pressure of 10 bar, which corresponds to a depth of 100 meters, to which the watch remains waterproof.

In 2021, Tissot presented the new PRX as a modern interpretation of the previous model.

The 316L stainless steel case of the Tissot PRX has a diameter of 40 mm. It has a slight tonneau shape and is adorned with a narrow, round bezel. On the sides, vertically brushed, rounded finishes alternate with polished facets.

The Tissot PRX has a dial with nickel-plated indexes and hands. The lines of the case extend directly into the bracelet, without the use of traditional horns.
